Tsunamis: Tsunamis had one of Chile’s most explosive musical debuts in 2004 being the first Chilean DIY/independent band to be featured on Mtv, becoming a major exponent of the alternative new sounds of the region, causing a deep impression that has stretched across decades. The post punk project Tsunamis, created by Berlin based/Chilean artist, songwriter and noise-maker Goli Gaete O’Ryan invokes raw, noisy electric guitars to the likes of The Velvet Underground, The Stooges, Sonic Youth and Spacemen 3. Ignited by all of rocknroll’s history, including subtle songwriting germinated from folk, drones and ambient-experimental music, Tsunamis 20+ year career is as diverse as the many collaborators with whom Goli has worked with. Some of them include his lifelong friend and collaborator, guitarist Pancho Fernández for Tsunamis and Los Tábanos Experience, Seba Ilic drummer for Pánico and the renowned Colombina Parra.
